Block E0, Level 4, Conference Room C
Kulliyyah of Engineering
22 December 2025 | 9:00 AM – 4:30 PM

The Kulliyyah of Engineering was honoured to receive a Benchmarking Visit from Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) on 22 December 2025, held at Block E0, Level 4, Conference Room C. The visit served as a valuable academic engagement aimed primarily at enhancing and strengthening course design and delivery, in line with current accreditation requirements and best practices in engineering education.

The benchmarking session provided a productive platform for in-depth discussions on curriculum structure, teaching strategies, assessment methods, and Outcome-Based Education (OBE). Constructive exchanges were held on how courses are designed, assessed, and continuously improved to ensure alignment with Programme Outcomes (POs), Course Learning Outcomes (CLOs), and industry relevance.

Among the key courses discussed during the session were:

  • Machine Design & Engineering Design Ideation
  • Instrumentation & Measurement
  • Mechanical Vibration
  • Manufacturing Process
  • Fluid Mechanics
  • Dynamics

Discussions also extended to innovative teaching approaches, project-based learning, laboratory integration, and effective assessment strategies to support students’ learning experiences while fulfilling OBE and accreditation expectations.

In addition to the formal discussions, the UMPSA delegation also spent time visiting several teaching laboratories within the Kulliyyah. The lab visits allowed for knowledge sharing on laboratory management, experimental setup, student engagement, and practical skill development.
