Your exchange year at MCUT runs from September to June, perfectly aligned with Taiwan’s academic calendar. This period serves dual purposes — completing your IIUM Bachelor’s degree requirements while simultaneously beginning your Master’s studies at MCUT.
Dual Academic Progress
You’ll undertake significant project work for your IIUM Bachelor’s degree while registering for Master’s coursework at MCUT. This efficient approach ensures smooth academic progression and maximizes your time in Taiwan’s innovative learning environment.

Stage 2 Financial Structure
During your exchange year at MCUT, you’ll continue paying tuition and fees to IIUM as normal. However, MCUT waives all tuition fees for the exchange period, representing significant savings on your educational investment.
Additionally, MCUT provides free on-campus accommodation, further reducing your costs. You’ll only be responsible for visa processing, travel expenses, insurance, and daily living costs in Taiwan.
Stage 3 Scholarship Opportunities
For your Master’s degree completion, tuition fees may be fully or partially waived depending on your academic performance during Stage 2. Strong performers often receive substantial financial support.
