PROGRAMME STRUCTURE
Students in the 3+2 Programme will complete three years of study at IIUM followed by two years at Ming Chi University of Technology (MCUT) in Taiwan, earning an Undergraduate Degree from IIUM and a Master’s Degree from MCUT. The programme is divided into three structured stages:
Programme Stages
- Stage One (Three Years at IIUM): Students will enroll in regular courses at IIUM, completing credits required for their Bachelor’s Degree. During the 5th and 6th semesters, IIUM will select eligible students to complete any pending credits through an intensive semester mode, preparing them for the next academic journey at MCUT.
- Stage Two (One Year at MCUT): From September to June each year, selected students begin project work required for their IIUM Bachelor’s Degree while registering for the necessary coursework for their Master’s requirements at MCUT. This phase advances students toward both degrees.
- Stage Three (Continuing Master’s Degree at MCUT): Upon successful completion of the one-year exchange, including the project and coursework requirements, students may continue their Master’s studies at MCUT, paving the way for advanced career opportunities.
FINANCE MATTERS
- Stage Two: During the first year at MCUT, students will pay their tuition fees to IIUM. MCUT will waive its tuition fees, but students are responsible for visa, travel, healthcare, insurance, and other living costs.
- Stage Three: Tuition fees at MCUT may be waived fully or partially based on academic performance. MCUT also provides meal subsidies and free on-campus accommodation for IIUM students during their exchange period.
This unique 3+2 Programme provides students with invaluable international experience, dual qualifications, and a global perspective, all while enjoying financial support and benefits from both IIUM and MCUT.
