AMSERU Researchers Shine at KERICE 2025 Poster Presentation
Gombak, 14 October 2025 – The Advanced Materials and Surface Engineering Research Unit (AMSERU), Kulliyyah of Engineering, proudly celebrates the success of its members who achieved remarkable recognition at the Kulliyyah of Engineering Research, Innovation and Commercialisation Exhibition (KERICE) 2025.
Held under the theme “Academia–Industry–Community Collaboration for Humanity,” the event featured innovative research projects across four competition categories — Postgraduate Research, Final Year Project, Integrated Design Project, and Community Service/Flagship Project.
AMSERU representatives brought home several prestigious awards:
- 🥇 Gold Award Winner (Postgraduate Category): Dr. Syazwani Mohd Zaki — SolarSponge: PVA-Chitosan/PANI Hydrogel for Solar Vapor Generation
- 🥇 Gold Award Winner (Final Year Project Category): Dr. Nur Idayu Ayob — Electron-Beam Tune Graphene: Enhancing Conductivity Via High-Energy Irradiation For Radiation-Hardened Nanoelectronics.
- 🥈 Silver Award Winner (Postgraduate Category): Br. Muhammad Hazim Ahmad Guzali and Dr. Nur Idayu Ayob — Performance of Passivatted Backgated Graphene Field Effect Transistor for Radiation Environment.
- 🥈 Silver Award Winner (Final Year Project Category): Dr. Nurhuda Hidayah Nordin — Thermal and Mechanical Stability of High Entropy Alloy (HEA) for Radar Absorbing Materials in Harsh Environment Towards Stealth Technology.
- 🥈 Silver Award Winner (Final Year Project Category): Sr. Nurul Aqilah Awang and Dr. Syazwani Mohd Zaki — SolarGel: Revolutionizing Solar Water Generation with Smart Graphene Hydrogels.
