1.0 INTRODUCTION

Department of Civil Engineering established in providing postgraduate research opportunities in a very wide range of topics across the spectrum of civil engineering activities and has been widely recognized for the high quality of its provision.

2.0 MODES OF GRADUATE PROGRAMME

Currently, the Department of Civil Engineering IIUM offers one mode of the graduate programme which is Research mode which is Master of Science (MSc.) and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D)

3.0 FAST TRACK ADMISSION

Undergraduate students with the following qualifications can be recruited directly into the Ph.D. programme:

• Students graduated from a Bachelor programme with First Class Honors or its equivalent; or
• Graduated with a CGPA of 3.67 or its equivalent in an academic programme; and
• The admission is subjected to Centre of Studies approval.
