AMSERU Shines Bright at the Grand Finale of Climate Action through 3C: A Celebration of Innovation and Sustainability!

The IIUM Climate Action Initiative Flagship, in partnership with AMSERU, UNESCO, ICESCO, and AMTECH, brought the house down with the electrifying Final Exhibition & Competition of Climate Action through 3C: Care, Create, Chart on Tuesday, 7 January 2025! Held at the bustling Wadi Budi, IIUM, this landmark event—officiated by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Khairul Azami Sidek, Dean of the Kulliyyah of Engineering—ignited a spark of environmental passion, uniting bright minds to champion sustainability, innovation, and climate resilience.

Under the rallying theme, “Climate Change Resilient Schools: Preparing for a Sustainable Future,” the event transformed into a dynamic hub of creativity and purpose. Students from Selangor’s local schools and IIUM’s brightest from Engineering Design, Ethics, and Conceptual Design courses showcased groundbreaking projects that reimagined waste as wonder. From upcycled inventions to carbon-footprint-slashing solutions, these young visionaries proved that sustainability is not just a goal—it’s an action!

AMSERU’s pioneering spirit stole the spotlight, with its cutting-edge exhibits inspiring attendees to rethink resourcefulness. The competition heated up across five categories, including Best Integrated Design Projects and the fiercely contested High School Innovation crown. Rising above the rest, SMK Bandar Sunway’s “Eco Sun Protector”—a genius blend of eco-conscious design and practicality—claimed the Climate Action Champion title and a grand prize of RM 500, earning thunderous applause!

Backed by 15 expert judges and powerhouse exhibitors like AMSERU, ANSYS, and Visi Mantap Sdn Bhd, the event was a testament to collaboration’s power. The closing ceremony, led by Prof. Dr. Zainal Abidin Sanusi of IIUM’s Sejahtera Centre, echoed with pride as he hailed the participants’ ingenuity and the organizers’ triumph in creating a platform for meaningful change.
