AMSERU Hosts a Seminar on Introduction & Applications of UV-VIS Spectrometer and Raman Confocal Microscopy
The Advanced Materials and Surface Engineering Research Unit (AMSERU) recently organized an informative UV-Vis Spectrometer and Raman Confocal Microscopy seminar.
Mr. Kan Chee Siong, the Area Manager from Aseptec Sdn Bhd, was the guest speaker, delivering an insightful presentation on the key concepts of UV-Vis spectroscopy, including the role of diffraction gratings in dispersing light into distinct wavelengths. Attendees gained a deeper understanding of how UV-Vis spectroscopy can be utilized for valuable data acquisition.
Furthermore, the seminar explored the basics of Raman Confocal Microscopy, emphasising its integration with Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM), and showcasing its potential for advancing surface engineering research.
All attendees from Aseptec were also treated to a delicious lunch featuring nasi daging, adding a delightful culinary touch to the day’s program.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to Aseptec Sdn Bhd for offering this enriching seminar, and we are excited about future opportunities for collaboration.
