The Mechatronics Engineering Department provides an integrated education encompassing electrical, mechanical, control and computer engineering disciplines which enables its graduates to acquire the needed skills in facing the challenges of contemporary industry. The curricula for this program are developed to give the students thorough knowledge in control and instrumentation, robotics and automation, mechatronics systems design and mechatronics product development. There are well-equipped laboratories and software packages to enhance the teaching of courses in this exciting and innovative engineering discipline.
The Mechatronics Engineering Department, International Islamic University was established in 1994 as one of the earliest departments formed under the Kulliyyah of Engineering.
The Mechatronics Engineering Department focuses on design, advanced manufacturing technology, CAD/CAM/CAE, materials and processing techniques, computer integrated manufacturing systems and management skills to enhance quality, speed, and flexibility of the manufacturing environment, and to gain a better understanding of the process itself.
