PG TUITION FEE WAIVER SCHEME FOR OUTSTANDING STUDENT (TFW)

The Postgraduate Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme is a prestigious award that offer candidates with outstanding academic performance and strong Islamic traits to pursue postgraduate study in engineering field. Recipients of the TFW Scheme are equipped with high quality of holistic excellence in research and innovation, with leadership training to serve the current and emerging needs of the society.

Academic achievement with CGPA > 3.5 / FIRST CLASS HONORS / EQUIVALENT MERIT BASE
English Language Qualifications: To qualify, minimum required score in TOEFL exam is 500 in paper based exam; 173 in computer based exam and 60 in internet based test. Overall 5.0 score is needed in IELTS exam and similarly 5.0 is required in EPT test.
Exemption those who have undertaken regular programmes of studies and graduated from universities that use English as the medium of instruction in English – speaking countries or who have graduated from the IIUM in a programme with English as the medium of instruction.
The application is for new intake student for Semester 1 20XX/20XX.

Receive supervision from research experts from Kulliyyah of Engineering, IIUM with research grant funding

The TFW recipient needs to maintain quality academic progress leading towards graduation on time. Failure to do so will result to award termination.
The recipient needs to publish minimum of 2 index journals per year and acknowledge the papers under TFW20XX Scheme.
The recipient will be required to contribute to the Kulliyyah in terms of tutorship, lab demonstrations and grading of undergraduate courses.
To be involved in KOE activities in promoting postgraduate programmes.
