Operation Training Session for the STA 7300 Simultaneous Thermogravimetric Analyzer (TGA)

A one-day operation training session for the STA 7300 Simultaneous Thermogravimetric Analyzer (TGA) was held on 17th October 2024, from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, at the Polymer Laboratory, E5-Level 3, KOE. The session was conducted by Mr. Chua Kai Woon from QES (Asia-Pacific) Sdn. Bhd. The training included a presentation and practical hands-on experience, covering topics such as an introduction to thermal analysis, TGA and DTA measurement techniques, STA 7300 components, measurement preparation, result analysis, and maintenance procedures. Six participants attended the event, including technical staff, lecturers, and postgraduate students. Overall, the training provided participants with a comprehensive understanding of the equipment, including its operation and the analysis of results.
