Fostering Collaboration: AMSERU’s Successful Visit to ION2, UPM
On 11 September 2024, our AMSERU team, led by Prof. Dr. Hazleen Anuar, along with Coordinator Assoc. Prof. Dr. Azlina, and members Dr. Syazwani, Dr. Sa’adah, and Dr. Suazlan, visited the Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (ION2) at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). The visit was made possible through the support of IIUM’s Vehicle Management Unit, STADD, for which we are grateful.
We were warmly received by Prof. Ir. Ts. Dr. Suraya Abdul Rashid, Director of ION2, and Deputy Director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Jaafar Abdullah. Prof. Suraya provided an overview of ION2’s research activities. Before our pitching session, our Coordinator, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Azlina, presented AMSERU and its ongoing research activities, setting the stage for further discussions. Following this, Dr. Sa’adah, Dr. Suazlan, and Dr. Syazwani pitched our research to explore collaboration opportunities between AMSERU and ION2. Our team was also joined by Mr. Rumainor from MARDI, who is pursuing his doctoral studies under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Hazleen Anuar.
We were accompanied by Ts. Dr. Intan Helina Hasan during the laboratory visits, which offered valuable insight into ION2’s cutting-edge research facilities. The visit concluded with a generous lunch, courtesy of ION2. We extend our heartfelt thanks to ION2 for their warm welcome and hospitality throughout the visit. We are excited about the potential collaborations that lie ahead and look forward to the promising opportunities this partnership will bring!
