Projek Taman Permainan Hijau Selangor

On February 14, 2022, the Advanced Material and Surface Engineering Research Unit (AMSERU has been awarded a grant from Selangor State Government under the Small Grant Program of Environment and Green Technology for the year 2021/2022. The awarded project title is ‘Taman Permainan Hijau Selangor’ and the project was led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Noorasikin Samat. Her teams and a project assistant, Br. Muhamad Ashraf Nazaruddin, have produced green tiles which are made from waste plastics and tubed tyre.

In September 2022, the tiles were installed at playground as green floor at Padang Taman Pinggiran Batu Caves, Gombak. The installation of green floor tiles in public area will provide Selangor residents with the opportunity to use the recycled products while raising awareness about the environmental sustainability.

AMSERU would like to again thank the Selangor Government through the Pejabat Setiausaha Kerajaan Negeri Selangor for the grant and the Landscape Department, Majlis Perbandaran Selayang (MPS) for their cooperation in this project.
