Following the opening du’a, a welcoming speech was delivered by the Head of Department, Prof. Ir. Dr. Mohammed Saedi Jami, who expressed his gratitude to the organizing committee and emphasized the importance of unity and celebration among students and lecturers. This was followed by a photography session, capturing the festive spirit among attendees.

The highlight of the evening was the Hari Raya dinner, where a variety of delicious food was served, creating a warm and festive atmosphere. Throughout the meal, students and lecturers had the chance to interact and strengthen their bonds outside the classroom.

In the later part of the programme, short Raya speeches were given by several lecturers and students, including Dr. Munira, Dr. Fazia, and Mr. Ashraff Rahman, a returning guest and the speaker from the previous “CV: First Step to Success” talk. Their words reflected themes of gratitude, community, and the value of maintaining strong relationships within the academic family.

To add to the excitement, a lucky draw session was held, bringing laughter and cheers as winners were announced. The night concluded with the presentation of the Best Dress Award, recognizing students who came in their most elegant Raya attire.

CHESTA extends its heartfelt appreciation to all attendees, guests, and organizing committee members who contributed to the success of this event. Events like this not only celebrate cultural traditions but also foster a strong sense of belonging within the Chemical Engineering community at IIUM.
