The highlight of the meeting was the introduction of CHESTA’s diverse and exciting programs planned for the year. These initiatives are designed not only to develop technical and professional skills but also to create unforgettable experiences for chemical engineering students. Our first program is the Charity Sale, handled by the Media Bureau, allows students to give back to the community by raising funds for orphanages through the sale of CHESTA T-shirts. This activity combines creativity, entrepreneurship, and social responsibility. Similarly, the Iftar with Orphanage, organized by the Welfare Bureau, offers an opportunity to connect with underprivileged children, instilling compassion and gratitude while fostering a spirit of giving.

For those passionate about sustainability and environmental issues, the Ocean Acidification Awareness Programme, proposed to take place at Redang Island, is an unmissable event. This program highlights real-world challenges related to ocean health, offering participants a chance to engage in meaningful discussions and gain practical insights into environmental protection—skills that align with the global role of chemical engineers. Additionally, Hiking with CHESTA, organized by the Sports Bureau, is perfect for those who enjoy the outdoors. With a beginner-friendly trail, it’s a great way to bond with peers, promote physical health, and de-stress from academic life.
