Exploring Collaborative Opportunities with PS Pipeline, Klang Valley Distribution Terminal (KVDT)

On July 31st, 2024, our team, AMSERU together with colleagues from the AMTECH research group, visited the PS Pipeline, KVDT to explore potential collaboration opportunities. The visit featured insightful discussions and a mutual interest in developing projects that could bring significant benefits to both our research team and the wider community.

Highlights of the Session:

  1. Safety Briefing and Welcome:
    The session commenced with a safety briefing, followed by welcoming remarks that laid the groundwork for a productive meeting.
  2. Introduction to AMSERU and IIUM Initiatives:
    Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mohd. Hanafi bin Ani introduced AMSERU’s activities, sharing examples of our ongoing projects aimed at transforming waste materials into valuable resources. Additionally, we explored potential areas for collaboration, including opportunities for digital project sponsorship.
  3. PS Pipeline KVDT’s Perspective:
    Representatives from KVDT expressed a keen interest in expanding our collaboration beyond traditional projects. They emphasized the importance of educational outreach and innovative sustainability initiatives, aligning with their broader strategic goals.
  4. Site and Control Room Visits:
    We had the opportunity to tour the PS Pipeline facility, gaining valuable insights into KVDT’s operations and identifying key areas where our research could contribute significantly.

Moving Forward:

The visit to PS Pipeline, KVDT, was highly productive, with both our team and the AMTECH group eager to pursue several pilot projects as a foundation for future collaboration.
