International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM)<\/h3>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

  • The International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) was established in 983 with international co-sponsorship from various governments and organizations worldwide, namely: Malaysia, Bangladesh, Egypt, Libya, the Maldives, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and the Organization of Islamic Country (OIC).<\/strong> IIUM strives to instill a respect for academic excellence and promotes a balanced personality of the graduates by integrating the Islamic value system in all academic activities. Consistent with its mission of Integration, Islamisation, Internationalization and Comprehensive Excellence (IIICE), the University aspires to produce future leaders who are spiritually strong and professionally equipped to develop the Muslim Ummah, and to defend the Islamic faith and ideals effectively.<\/li>
  • IIUM operates under the direction of a Board of Governors<\/strong> with representatives from the eight sponsoring governments and the OIC. It maintains links with governments and institutions all over the world, such as the League of Islamic Universities, the International Association of Universities and the Association of Commonwealth Universities. It also affiliated with several Malaysian-based businesses and industries that provide opportunities for students to gain practical work experience.<\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

    • The University has a very broad mix of students and staff of varied cultural backgrounds. About 30,000 students representing more than ninety-six countries<\/strong> of mostly muslim majority, are enrolled with the University in various degree programmes. The broad spectrum of qualifications, Islamic background and modes of study allow the University to offer education integrated with Islamic values to everyone in the world community, Muslims and non- Muslims. Such a wide mix of people and backgrounds contribute to the learning process, bringing students together in a common quest for enriching knowledge and skills.<\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

      • The IIUM occupies five (5) campuses<\/strong> in residential areas of Petaling Jaya, Gombak, Damansara, Gambang and Bandar Indera Mahkota in Pahang and Pagoh, Johor. These campuses can easily access to all the resources of the nation’s capital. The main campus is located on a 288-hectars site in Gombak near Kuala Lumpur and the Medical School is on a 400-hectars site in Kuantan, on the east coast of Peninsular Malaysia. The Gombak campus is the centre of IIUM administration<\/strong> while the Petaling Jaya campus is the Centre for Pre-University education.<\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
