
STEP 1 (Pre-Registration with Programme Coordinator)
Students are required to pre-register EIT course registration through respective EIT Programme Coordinator (PC) who will verify the student’s eligibility. Upon approval, the student’s information will be submitted to the Office of Deputy Dean (Academic Affairs) for system entry during Semester 3. Students are not allowed to register for the EIT course independently.
Eligibility for EIT Course Registration
- Minimum of 90 credit hours earned (during Sem 3)
- Minimum CGPA of 2.0
- Fulfillment of programme-specific course requirements

STEP 2: Applying for EIT Company
Use your student Google Workspace account to access this form. Click here for info
You may start finding placement as soon as your registration is approved. For applying the placement, you have to submit these documents to the company:
- University Supporting letter for EIT + Company Reply Form
- Resume
- Partial academic transcript
Important Note: This is the most critical step. Please do not delay your company applications and apply to as many as possible to maximize your chances.

Step 3: Confirmation of Company Placement
Congratulations on securing a company! You need to fill in the CONFIRM PLACEMENT FORM, attaching Company Reply Form and/or Offer Letter from the company.
Once you submission has been verified and approved, your respective PC will generate REPORT DUTY PACK containing the following:
- Report duty letter
- Indemnity letter
- Insurance letter (All IIUM students are covered by insurance throughout his/her internship)
- Insurance policy details (local/international)
Important Note: Students are not allowed to change internship company once the acceptance form has been approved by PC. So please decide carefully.
If you decided to live in campus for internship, fill in LIDV application form. The location of the company needs to be within KL/Selangor).

Step 4: Jobscope Confirmation (Monitoring)
Now that you’ve arrived at your internship company, please take a moment to confirm the details of your company placement by filling this form. The information you provide will be used for official communication, lecturer visit arrangements, assessment purposes, and in case of any emergencies. This helps us ensure everything is in order for a successful experience, for both you and the company.
This step is required and must be completed within the first 2 weeks of your internship. Your prompt response helps us support you better throughout your internship.

Step 5: Ending Internship
Before you complete your internship, please do the following to ensure a smooth and complete assessment of your internship:
1. Contact Your Assigned Lecturer
You must contact your assigned lecturer to schedule your End-of-Internship Presentation.
- This presentation is part of your assessment and will be conducted either at your company or via teleconference, depending on arrangements with your lecturer.
- The EIT Visit & Assessment Period is between Week 9–10 (will be announced). Please plan accordingly.
2.Complete the Student Survey Form
Before your internship ends, you are required to fill in the Student Internship Survey Form. Your input is important for improving the internship experience.
3.Remind Your Company Supervisor
Kindly remind your supervisor to fill in the Supervisor Evaluation Form, which has already been emailed to them by your PC.

Step 6: Completing EIT
As you complete your internship, don’t forget the final documentation! Submission of these documents is compulsory to complete your internship. Refer to deadline given by your PC.
- EIT Report and Logbook (for student registered to course code EITR XXXX)
- Executive Summary and Logbook (for for student registered to course code XXXX 3500)
