Whether you are a prospective undergraduate or postgraduate student, an industry collaborator, or simply exploring our work, we are delighted to have you visit our page.<\/p><p data-start=\"919\" data-end=\"1165\">Located just outside Kuala Lumpur, our department is strategically positioned near Malaysia\u2019s key industrial and technological hubs, providing students with strong exposure to real-world engineering applications and abundant career opportunities.<\/p><p data-start=\"1167\" data-end=\"1781\">The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering has a proud legacy as one of the founding pillars of the Kulliyyah of Engineering at IIUM. Since its establishment, the department has continuously evolved to address the rapid convergence of electrical, electronic, and computing technologies\u2014fields that now define the digital era. Our Bachelor of Electrical and Electronics Engineering with Honours uniquely integrates electrical systems, embedded computing, communication technologies, and intelligent systems, preparing graduates to design and innovate across diverse sectors.<\/p><p>To ensure our graduates remain versatile and industry-ready, the programme offers four high-demand specialisations:<\/p><p><strong>\u2022 Computer &amp; Information Engineering<\/strong><\/p><p><strong>\u2022 Communication Engineering<\/strong><\/p><p><strong>\u2022 Micro Electronics Engineering<\/strong><\/p><p><strong>\u2022 Power System Engineering<\/strong><\/p><p data-start=\"2031\" data-end=\"2538\">Our academic strength lies in our people. All our lecturers hold PhDs, and many are registered Professional Engineers (Ir.) with extensive academic and industrial experience. Our department achieved a 6-star MyRA research rating in 2024, with several staff members individually earning the same recognition\u2014reflecting our strong research culture and commitment to excellence. Students benefit from this environment of innovation, learning directly from those advancing the frontiers of technology.<\/p><p data-start=\"2540\" data-end=\"2805\">At IIUM, we take pride not only in academic and technical excellence but also in nurturing ethical and responsible engineers guided by Islamic values.
