PHD IN ENGINEERING<\/strong><br>A relevant bachelor\u2019s degree (honours) in Engineering and a master\u2019s degree in Engineering or a related field from the IIUM or any other accredited institution of higher learning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>2. MASTER OF SCIENCE BY RESEARCH<\/strong><br>i. A Bachelor\u2019s degree in the Engineering or related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.75 or equivalent, as<br>accepted by the Senate; or<br>ii. A Bachelor\u2019s degree in the Engineering or related fields or equivalent with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 and not<br>meeting CGPA of 2.75, can be accepted subject to rigorous internal assessment; or<br>iii. A Bachelor\u2019s degree in the Engineering or related fields or equivalent with minimum CGPA of 2.00 and not<br>meeting CGPA of 2.50, can be accepted subject to a minimum of 5 years working experience in the relevant<br>field and rigorous internal assessment.<br>iv. Candidates without a qualification in the related fields or relevant working experience must undergo<br>appropriate pre-requisite courses endorsed by the Senate and meet the minimum CGPA based on (i) to (iii).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>3. MASTER OF SCIENCE BY COURSEWORK<\/strong><br>i. A Bachelor\u2019s degree in Engineering or related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 or equivalent, as<br>accepted by the Senate; or<br>ii. A Bachelor\u2019s degree in Engineering or related fields or equivalent with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 and not<br>meeting a CGPA of 2.50, can be accepted subject to rigorous internal assessment.<br>iii. Candidates without a qualification in the related fields or working experience in the relevant fields must<br>undergo appropriate prerequisite courses determined by the Senate and meet the minimum CGPA based on (i)<br>to (ii).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>4. MASTER OF SCIENCE BY MIXED MODE<\/strong><br>i. A Bachelor\u2019s degree in the field or related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.75 or equivalent, as accepted by<br>the Senate; or<br>ii. A Bachelor\u2019s degree in the Engineering or related fields or equivalent with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 and not<br>meeting CGPA of 2.75, can be accepted subject to rigorous internal assessment; or<br>iii. A Bachelor\u2019s degree in the Engineering or related fields or equivalent with minimum CGPA of 2.00 and not<br>meeting CGPA of 2.50, can be accepted subject to a minimum of 5 years working experience in the relevant<br>field and rigorous internal assessment.<br>iv. Candidates without a related qualification in the field\/s or working experience in the relevant fields must<br>undergo appropriate pre-requisite courses endorsed by the Senate and meet the minimum CGPA based on (i)<br>to (iii).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>5. FAST-TRACK ADMISSION<\/strong><br>Undergraduate students with the following qualifications can be recruited directly into the Ph.D. programme:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>ii. Students graduated from a Bachelor programme in Engineering with First Class Honors or its equivalent; or<br>iii. Graduated with a CGPA of 3.67 or its equivalent in an academic programme; and<br>ii.
