This year\u2019s Leaders in Innovation Fellowship (LIF) programme<\/strong> has brought a moment of pride for AMSERU<\/strong>, with two of its members, Dr. Noor Azlina Hassan and Dr. Nur Ayuni Jamal,<\/strong> being selected for the prestigious 2025 cohort<\/strong>. Their selection highlights the excellence and impact of AMSERU\u2019s innovators on a global stage. The duo attended the LIF Innovators Send-off UK Bound<\/strong> event, held at Palm Garden Hotel and Country Club, Putrajaya<\/strong>, yesterday (17\/02\/2025<\/strong>), marking the beginning of their journey towards international collaboration and innovation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They were accompanied by Prof. Ir. Dr. Ahmad Fadzil Bin Ismail<\/strong>, Director of RMC IIUM, and Prof. Dr. Hazleen Anuar<\/strong>, Deputy Director of RMC IIUM, who is also an alumnus of the LIF programme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event featured a special remark by YBhg. Dato’ Ts. Dr. Hj. Aminuddin Bin Hassim<\/strong>, Ketua Setiausaha<\/strong>, MOSTI <\/strong>emphasizing the importance of innovation-driven collaborations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, another IIUM KOE member, Prof. Ir. Dr. Siti Fauziah Bt. Toha @ Tohara<\/strong>, also attended the event as part of the LIF cohort.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These distinguished researchers will travel to the United Kingdom in July 2025<\/strong> to further develop their innovative projects as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1) Dr. Noor Azlina Hassan \u2013 “Wonder Paint”<\/strong>
An environmentally friendly smart nanocoating that reduces corrosion, lowers maintenance costs, and improves industrial energy efficiency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2) Dr. Nur Ayuni Jamal \u2013 “ShockSorb”<\/strong>
Lightweight porous metal composites reinforced with diamond to enhance automotive safety, crashworthiness, and fuel efficiency, supporting sustainability and innovation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3) Prof. Ir. Dr. Siti Fauziah Bt. Toha @ Tohara \u2013 “RoVision”<\/strong>
An AI-powered navigation device that enhances mobility and independence for visually impaired individuals, fostering inclusion, confidence, and accessibility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The LIF program, delivered in partnership with MIGHT (Malaysian Industry-Government Group for High Technology)<\/strong>, provides innovators with mentoring, business model development, and international networking opportunities to advance their research and commercialization potential.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We wish them success in their journey to the UK and in their contributions to impactful innovation!<\/p>\n\n\n
